A reproduction of a traditional Chinese junk, the Aqua Luna is a romantic, atmospheric venue for a private or corporate function for up to 80 people. It has 1,500 square feet of deck and cabin space including a full bar and cocktail lounge. A full dinner can be served on deck while the boat sails through the harbor.

Bauhinia Garden

If you have always dreamed of a garden wedding, there are five open spaces available to hire for very reasonable rates from the government, including Repulse Bay Beach, Kowloon Walled City Park, and Tai Po and Sai Kung waterfront parks. Our favorite is Bauhinia Garden in Kowloon Tsai Park, where you can get married on a lovely, 1,200-square-meter lawn surrounded by bauhinia trees. There is seating for up to 150 guests and power points are available. Applications should be submitted at least two months before the big day. Details online.

Bethanie Chapel

The Missions Etrangeres de Paris built this beautiful, neo-gothic chapel in 1875. Formerly part of the University of Hong Kong, it is now run by the Academy for Performing Arts, which restored the chapel in 2006. It seats about 100 people and is available to hire for reasonable rates. You can hold a reception in the adjoining Sir Y.K. Pao studio, also for hire, which has glass walls with spectacular views of the Lamma Channel and The Peak.

Duk Ling
